This May sees the launch of a textured neon wonderland; a new show at Curious Duke Gallery: Neon Love Affair by Lee Herring.

Herring is a contemporary painter specialising in colourful, textured and abstracted landscapes. This show focuses on Herrings love of Neon, bringing into focus colours that are often overlooked, but are abundant in our landscapes.

Visitors to the exhibition will be met with an electrified landscape. Herring takes the classic landscape and brings it into a contemporary age, mixing both traditional and neon colour palettes. Each work is perfectly balanced in colour, texture and style. Herring has certainly carved himself a unique niche in landscape painting.

Throughout the show, Curious Duke will be including a live painting and print signing session with the artist himself. Hosted in their London gallery space on the 3rd of April.

Herring was born in Sunderland, North East of England and has always had a creative streak. After excelling in Art throughout his early education he went on to study Fine Art at the University of Chester.

It was here that he discovered his love of painting and began to develop his painting style. After 3 years, Herring graduated with a First Class Honours degree and was awarded the coveted University prize. Herring had the confidence to continue his practice and focused his attention on daily painting sessions in the studio.

Emerging from the years of dedication was his own unique style and Lee Herring Art was born! Gallery representation soon followed and Herrings distinct paintings were exhibited up and down the country. Successful sell out shows attracted the attention international collectors resulting in exhibits all over the world. His style is constantly developing and Herring has a strong following of both investors and reputable galleries.

Herring is known for producing the occasional show stopper, this time around being exuded through an antique grandfather clock. Herring continues to be one of the top 10 artists at Curious Duke Gallery.

Neon Love Affair will be on display between 2nd - 16th May at Curious Duke Gallery, five minutes walk from Old Street tube.

RSVP for the Private View on 2nd May (5-8PM).
