Christmas is drawing ever closer, to help you wind down and relax in time for christmas here are our top 5 exhibtions to go and see, and if you don't make it in time there's always a chance in the new year!

The Present


It's nearly Christmas! At CDG 'The Present' is the perfect exhibition to help those last minute christmas shoppers. The best gifts from over 40 artists are up on the walls making your shopping experience easy. The exhibtion continues into the new year so you can even start to think about the January sales - the season of treats for yourself!

Picture This : Children's Illustrated Classics 


The British Library looks at 10 iconic childrens books and their illustrations throughout the 20th century. Some of the top 10 include: The Wind in the Willows, Paddington Bear and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. A perfect exhibition to rekindle the child within at christmas time.

Japan Suite 

JAPAN. Tokyo. Portrait studio at Film Studios

Magnum photographer Chris Steele-Perkins exhibits his collection of photographs made in Japan. His work explores the lives and situations of his subjects, revealing the humanity within them.

Sculpture- Yutaka Sone


The exhibition brings together three scupltures of island cities by Yutaka Sone, each intricately minaturised and carved into a single block of marble. Hong Kong Island, Little Manhattan and Venezia are shown exploring Sones interest in landscape both natural and architectural.

Kara Walker 


Walker's silouhetted works critically explore racial and gender tension. Using  characters from Amercian popular culture, literature and history she exposes myths that lie beneath cultural arechtypes.
