
Final Call! Secret Art Prize deadline 14th June
Final Call! Calling all artists who:
- are not represented by a gallery
- create work that is surreal, street inspired and urban
- and are curious!
The Secret Art Prize is for you!
With a judging panel that counts WXSP and artist Teddy Baden, BBC 6 Music presenter Mary Anne Hobbs, Be Smart About Art founder Susan Mumford, London art critic Tabish Khan, Barbican Centre marketing assistant Daniela Fetta and I Know What I Like founder Sabina Andron, your art work will be seen by some of the UK art scenes most influential figures. Catergories include: drawing, mixed media, painting, and print making, with the addition of The People’s Choice award which will be voted on by the public via a page.
With the deadline of June 14th 2014 looming ever closer, now is the time to register and get your application in.
If you want to win prizes worth £1,700, here they are:
- £500 cash prize made payable to the winner
- 1 year Be Smart About Art membership and 4x one hour mentoring sessions with BSAA founder and art world expert Susan Mumford
- Representation and one month group show with Curious Duke gallery
- 8ftx8ft board at WXSP Rise of the non-conformists exhibition, 19th/20th July, with exhibition running until September
- Art supplies courtesy of sponsor Cowling and Wilcox who will also be supplying the materials for the 8ft commission from the WXSP.
