With our summer exhibition, (60) Days of Summer, now in full swing Thursday, we are pleased to announce Delphine Lebourgeois as our CDG artist for July! French born but London based illustrator Lebourgeois combines playful romance with antique books and beautifully bright colours.

Where did you study: Lyon (France) and Central St Martins in London
Who, or what is your greatest influence on your life and art?
Considering my recent series of drawings, I would say probably women.
Who is your favourite artist at the moment?
Marina Abramovi�.
Describe a typical day in the studio in no more than 5 words.
Mistake, panic, meltdown, success, happiness!!
Spontaneity or planning?
Oh dear... I am definitely on the planning side.
What do you do in the event of a creative block?
Train journeys are good to unlock inspiration
Do you have a favourite piece of your own work?
Maybe one from the Volcano series or else, Untitled 4 (Classe de nus) .
What is the most challenging aspect of your work?
Materialising that brilliant idea that never turns out how you want it to!
Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
Hopefully doing exactly what I am doing now, but with a bigger studio space and large windows.
