Top 5 London Exhibitions 25th - 31st July

Posted on July 25, 2014

The first week of the school summer holidays has arrived.  With the next week set to be a scorcher, get out and about and enjoy London's free public art exhibits? Which will you choose?

Rise of the Non- Conformists

Following last weekends Whitecross Street party, the exhibition of 8ft x 8ft boards continues throughout the summer. Seventeen boards line the street, with artists, including winner of Secret Art Prize 2014 Mohammed Sami and street artist Inkie. Bold statements and bright colours make the food market even more of a hot spot in the City.

(60) Days of Summer

It may not be public art, but it is for everyone. Our 60 artworks range from Hannah Adamaszek's haunting women, Kate Knight's birds of prey and Roy's People cheeky scenes. And we are also on Whitecross Street.

Sculpture in the City 2014

Returning yet again, this annual treat brightens the grey edges of the square mile. Big names such as Antony Gormley and Lyn Chadwick's curious figures will line the City, adding a little character to your daily commute.

Wind Sculpture

Also in Victoria (I see a plan here), renowned sculptor Yinka Shonibare's fibreglass art work is suspended in Howich Place. One of a series, these floating sculptures give the impression of light fabric blowing in the wind belies the heavy moulding.
