Art Gallery Assistant INTERN.
Our young fast growing gallery are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and hardworking individual to join our rapidly growing team.
We are looking for someone that has an interest in working in the emerging art world and working for a small hardworking company. You will help to update the website and contribute to the marketing a promotional material and help out during our busy art fair season in the autumn for the gallery. We are also looking for someone to get a bit stuck in and help us set up exhibitions. We are looking for a team player and someone who is willing to learn a variety of skills.
Application deadline: 28th August 2014, interviews will be held Monday 1st September, to start 5st September.
Travel expenses will be paid. The position will be 2-3 days a week for 3 months and will you will be occasionally ask to help out at the weekends of the art fairs. Any extra days that may need to be worked will be paid. There is also a possibility of gaining part time employment from this position.

THE ROLE
Website design and development
Implementing changes to the website, through the website’s CMS.
Continual work to improve the website’s search engine optimisation – creation of partnership links, driving traffic and monitoring usage of website
Assisting with general content writing for the website.
Communications:
Writing of monthly newsletter
Social media activity to help build our online community
Design:
I knowledge of Photoshop
Ability to confidently help create marketing and promotional material
Customers Service:
Help with Sales art fairs and during Private Views.
Assist with online and in gallery sales
Daily Gallery tasks:
Help maintain cleanliness of the gallery
Help the gallery director with installing and take down of exhibition
Maintaining stock list and cataloguing art work
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES
· Relevant degree – in the past or in progress.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Good Microsoft Office skills
· Good attitude, enthusiasm, polite and punctual.
