Propa Stuff
Propa Stuff, a non-profit dedicated to supporting urban artists’ work and growth, is hosting another gallery show in London with the proceeds going to homeless charity Emmaus. Their pop-up show feature artists coming from six different countries: Alice Pasquini, Bailon, Benjamin Buckley, Ciroshu, Gauky, Malarky, Max Rippo, Miss Van, Penfold, Pener, She One, Sheryo, The Yok.
The art itself spans mediums - wood, metal, furniture, canvas – and take the viewer on a weird and wonderful journey. From the distinct Japanese-inspired lines of Benjamin Buckley and the sensuous creatures of Miss Van, to Malarky’s profanity-laced cartoon-like characters.

Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg – The Gates of the Festival at Lisson Gallery

You will find Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg’s sculptural interventions, projections, neon, film and music intertwined in one impressive installation. Merging audio-visual and multimedia elements, Djurberg & Berg’s debut show with the Lisson Gallery melts together as one continuous work of art. They produce art symbiotically to create their own singular world. Their ideas, sounds and images also propose a synaesthetic interrelationship between the realms of the visible, the audible and the imaginary.

Gert and Uwe Tobias at Maureen Paley

The Tobias brothers’ work is full of characters and creatures drawn from eastern European folk art combined with diverse influences, from abstract art of the early 20th century to German post-war painting.
Their giant woodcuts and wall paintings draw on modernist geometric abstraction; however they combine line, shape, colour and typography with the narrative images and patterns of folk art, using decorative motifs such as flowers, plants, patterns, embroidery and domestic objects.

Sophie Lee: Sugars, Protein and Salt (Perfect Fried I) at IMT Gallery

For her latest project Lee has created a two-part video work with individual parts shown simultaneously at IMT Gallery and Gowlett Peaks. The works combine video, animation, text and sound. Through Lee’s work writing and video are presented as a free space for the collision of readymades. Using collage both as content and form, Lee explores interests in histories of language, the materiality of rubbish and waste, chemical reactions, the body and a gastric approach to information.
