Another year has somehow managed to fly past. I, for one, cannot account for any of 2015 past March. Time should be arrested for speeding.
Anyway, I am here to say a ma-hoosive thank you for all your support this year. You have truly propelled us forward, each of your shares, likes, retweets, visits, and kind words, you really have no idea how much we appreciate you. For those who have started, or added to their art collection this year, thank you and congratulations! I hope you’ve sent us a photo of your artwork in its new home (of not email us on info(at)curiousdukegallery(dot)com).
2015 has been truly amazing. We have had 7 group exhibitions, 4 solo shows with Sam Peacock, Roy’s People, Otto D’Ambra and Hannah Adamaszek that have treated our eyeballs all year. Let’s not forget the three art fairs (which we’ll be returning to next year) with Affordable Art Fair Hampstead and Battersea, and Moniker Art Fair.
Here is the cherry on top: we were voted into 2nd place behind Bethnal Green’s Richmix in the TimeOut #LoveLondon Culture Awards! Curious Duke Gallery was named as the second best cultural venue in Shoreditch and Hoxton by Time Out readers, and followers of the gallery. Get behind CDG and vote us into first place next year!
With 2016 on the horizon, we will not be slowing down. The Secret Art Prize will be returning for the third year with a judging panel that will make you take notice (you’ll have to wait until February 2016 to hear who we have). With last years prize garnering over 300 applicants, the gallery is set for an abundance of new talent. You have four solo exhibitions to get excited about, with new collections from Kate Knight, Andrew Millar, Dan Rawlings and Samantha Gare.
To register your interest for the Secret Art Prize 2016 please email me on sinead(at)curiousdukegallery(dot)com.
Thank you, and now we’re off to bed until January. See you in 2016!
