Hopefully you’ll have a few days off over Christmas to relax, so here are our top 5 exhibitions in London to enjoy.

This December we have a nativity scene that will reshape your Christmas forever. Beyond that we also have the neon inspired goods, and jewellery that will win you brownie points for the best Christmas present giver this year. Don’t expect your traditional Christmas shop here, but you will find the unusual and the beautiful creations from Biscunts and Stedhead.

War Damaged Musical Instruments

Artist Susan Philipsz has collected recordings of instruments that have been damaged during conflict from the last 200 years. Together the recordings play out the notes of the ‘Last Post’ to commemorate soldiers who died in WW1 as part of the 14-18 NOW programme.

An arm and a leg and other stories

Blacked out business cards, lists of strung together to create a reading list and a writer in residence make this exhibition it a feast of story telling. Alongside this, every Wednesday at 1pm and 5pm, visitors will be privy to a performance in the main space where participants are taught to recite a short story of 500 words, which is transmitted by word of mouth, by an instructor.

Hauser Wirth bring us a super group exhibition this winter to keep our art loving hearts warm.
This exhibition includes work by Louise Bourgeois, Eva Hesse, Alexander Calder, Isa Genzken, Richard Serra, Robert Gober, Roni Horn, Gordon Matta-Clark, and Fausto Melotti , as each artwork is presented as fragile and protection.
