The Art of Australia

Posted on March 28, 2013

With our sights set firmly on the route of the Wayfarer, Curious Duke would like to extend to you an invitation to the little bit of Australia nestled in you home. I've put together a package holiday for your itchy feet. Have a safe journey!

Play list
very important in setting the mood.
Maybe start with some light Rolf Harris, moving onto Jason Donovan via Joseph's Technicolour Dreamcoat, and finishing with a disco medley of Kylie and Peter Andre. Smashing!

Decoration/ Landscape
First thing to do in this recipe it is to set the scene. Quite possibly the key to setting the tone of your holiday/front room is all in the view. You will need for this recipe some authentic Aussie art courtesy of Kareena Zerefos and Kamion, and a taste of the outback withSam Peacock.  Take Kareena's hazy summer days at the menagerie and set it on your wall. Next up, place one of Kamion's Rodeo Clowns by your window as if you're inviting the locals in- this will give the impression of meeting the locals and provide tales once you arrive home. Now for some of the deep earthy colours of the outback. Take a few of Sam Peacock's steel plates of blurred horizons from his journeys across Australia, to take over an entire wall and you'll have visited one very large country in your home!

Menu
Simply barbecue. Let's not mess with this (will also provide summer temperatures).

Entertainment
As a fan of Australian soap operas I know them to be classy, so pen your own episode and get acting. Hours of fun await.

Role models
Australia has many inspiring figures to offer, but my personal go to guys are Susan Kennedy for her ever growing brood and multiple career changes, and Peter Andre just because.

Key phrases
G'day mate and here's some sun cream.
