Perspective Opening

Our private view to mark the opening of our new 'Perspectives' exhibition, on Thursday 13th October, saw us going head to head with the openings of art world giants such as Frieze art fair and Moniker art fair. Despite this inopportune time however, we pulled in an impressive crowd of art lovers- proving that exciting contemporary art doesn't need the surrounding media circus for people to realise its quality.

Our carefully curated selection of striking portraiture and hauntingly beautiful photographs certainly made an impact.

Andrew Celso's vibrantly painted self-portrait placed on an easel in the window , defiantly challenging passers-by to stop in their tracks sets the tone for what awaited viewers inside.

The layout of the gallery with its alcoves, spotlights and wooden beams proved a perfect setting for the artists emphasising the delicacy of the flawlessly serene photographs and the intensity and drama of the paintings that occupied the space.

All tastes were catered for, from lovers of the abstract to the figurative to the realistic and we received many compliments- both for the selection of art and the friendly non pretentious setting.

The show will be running over the next two weeks so if you haven't seen it yet, make sure to pay us a visit
