The Black Rhino, one Pearse's favourite animals, is rarely seen up close, not only due to its shy nature but also because of poaching wars dwindling their population. For all animals, their character and soul are expressed through their eyes. For this drawing in particular, Laura tried to capture the sadness and helplessness of the Rhino.
