Currently, the forest has an outbreak of Japanese Larch Disease ripping through its coniferous mountain bike trails. Home to the Woodburn Resevoirs, located next to the town of Carrickfergus, or as the Irish folk song goes “Do Bhi Bean Uasal” (I wish I was in Carrickfergus).
