The field near Borras Road will eventually lead you into Wrexham, there have been people living in Wrexham on a full time basis since 1600BC, home to Gresford Colliery, a place where 266 miners lost their lives after a series of explosions in the mines in 1934. No mines are operational now in Wrexham. Even though it has applied for City status several times, it’s still considered a town.
