This is an oil painting on an unprimed linen canvas which has a resin coating. The method used to produce this work is very labour intensive; the paint is built up layer by layer which when dry is often sanded back and then re-applied. It took weeks to produce and to get right. I use a professional resin specialist who achieves a perfect glass like finish making the colours glorious and vibrant. The resin is the finest quality which doesn’t discolour with time. I use the finest quality Michael Harding oil paints which have a very high concentration of pigment making the colours vibrant and fresh.
