I debued my #Brick project in London's iconic Barbican centre in May 2013. 'Brick at the Barbican' resulted in two paintings being created, one of which: 'Barbican Brick', was auctioned with all proceeds going to 'Fairtrade Foundation' charity. 'Barbican Birdie' was the second #Brick piece created here. I was inspired by the Barbican conservatory which was home to an aviary of finches, so for this piece I wanted to imagine that a lucky finch had escaped the confines of its cage and had been 'set free', finding a new home in the drainpipe.

A unique 'Certificate of Authenticity' will accompany each #Brick painting. This will be a signed photograph of the #Brick painting in-situ, with the location written on the back, along with the artist signature (which will also appear on each original painting).
