If you've seen an artwork, or maybe enjoy one of our artists style on our site that you love but would like to see a certain size, medium, colour or subject then you may be interested in our commissioning service. Here at Curious Duke Gallery our artists are happy to discuss options for your perfect artwork to incorporate a loved one, or to fit a certain wall in your home or work place.
Or you'd like to discuss commissioning an artwork as a gift, then we can arrange for the finished piece to be delivered to an alternative address after you have viewed it.
Deciding on an art work isn't easy, and we understand that you'll have many questions, so here are a few FAQ's to help you on your commissioning journey.
WHAT CAN I HAVE COMMISSIONED?
All of our artists work on commissions, so as long as it reflects their style you can have your favourite colours incorporated into your own piece, a bespoke size, or an image of your family or a favourite destination immortalised in an art work. Whatever your wishes, we at CDG are happy to work with you.
CAN I MEET THE ARTST TO DISCUSS THE COMMISSION?
Of course, we can arrange for you to meet the artist who you interested in, in our London gallery. This way you can talk through what it is that you like about their work, and how you'd like your commission to be your own. Moreover, you can show them images, colours, and maybe the room you're envisaging for the art work. A time frame will be discussed and what materials will be used.
WILL I BE INVOLVED THROUGHOUT THE COMMISSION?
Throughout the commission process we will send you images of the work in progress, and you can be involved as much as you like- from holding off seeing the work until completion to updates throughout the creative process.
SO HOW DO I GO ABOUT COMMISSIONING A PIECE OF ART?
Please email us at info(at)curiousdukegallery.com with the artist's name you are interested in, and your ideas for a commissioned piece. From here we'll contact the artist and ask if this is possible and if they are available. When this is agreed and we have spoken to you about the options, we'll give you the price of the artwork, which will include materials. From here we'll ask for 50% of the price in order for the artist to start work and buy materials, the second instalment will be due upon completion.
Please do not hesitate to ask us any questions you may have, please email us on art(at)curiousdukegallery.com or phone us on 0207 251 6551.
