Following’ Chris’s inaugural London gallery exhibition in Spring 2011, he has embarked upon a major body of work that captures the South and South-West United States, as seen from the perspective of a foreigner, composed and presented in his identifiable style.
He says: “For me, photography is a very involving process. Exploring with a camera in hand is a solitary, reflective process.”. The contemplative nature of his process is evident in his landscape images, which are devoid of human figures and have distinctive quietness.
He continues a range of ongoing projects, including producing an image that is published weekly on Sunday, part of an ongoing series for Be Smart About Art’s popular art world blog. A collection of images taken at The Frontline Club are held in the Club’s permanent collection and can be viewed in situ at the clubhouse.
Chris King lives and works in London.
